Cancer has been a leading cause of death in the Western world for some time now, but what is the best nutritional regime to address it? Andrew Scarborough was faced with massive seizures and migraines, followed by a belated diagnosis of Grade III Anaplastic Astrocytoma. This is a most serious form of brain cancer, invariably fatal. He researched extensively and learned that chemotherapy would do little or nothing for his genetic form of the disease. His oncologist admitted as much when confronted with the data. Thus Andrew was facing into a chemical shot-gunning that would rack his body, whilst offering no real hope of remission.
But Andrew was determined not to accept this inevitability; he was going to leverage his research from a Masters in Nutritional Therapy, and his ability to decode published scientific work from the best in the field. He was going to take on the fight for his own life. He would attack a metabolic disease…with a carefully aimed metabolic weapon. But what would be the best weapon available for a human with invasive brain cancer? Well, a highly specialised form of ketogenic nutrition would make a lot of sense. It being based on the very substances that drove the evolution of our extraordinary human brains.
Myself and Dr. Jeffry Gerber had the privilege of meeting Andrew in London recently. We captured insights from his brave and compelling journey. Rarely has one man’s application of scientific research, been so focussed and so inspiring – enjoy and share

Thomas Deyfried explains Cancer as primarily a metabolic disease, not a genetic one:
Andrew sadly did not have recourse to Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy, but did hit the other two synergistic factors damn hard – N=1 by all means, so it’s difficult to compare potential effectiveness in others – after all, who else has gone to the extremes that Andrew has? Dominic’s extraordinary mice below were all initially treated to a highly virulent metastatic cancer – but let’s ‘see how they run’ – depending on the treatment they get:
