Part 2 of my Aug 2016 conversation with Dr. Kraft. Father of the Insulin Assay, and one of the most under-recognised greats of medicine and science. Here at aged 95 he talks of old times, relating experiences from the early days of antibiotics. We also discuss the methods used to manage TB back then, including pretty successful altitude treatments. Some extraordinary cases are discussed, including a young man who survived the Death March of Bataan harbouring massive disease. We also visit the unusual autopsy findings for president Franklin D Roosevelt’s wife, Eleanor (who died at the young age of 40).
